550 out of 2555 candidates who contested in the 3rd and 4th phases of elections had criminal charges against them. 76 candidates from the first 4 phases held charges related to crimes against women.

All major political parties have fielded candidates with serious criminal records for the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. But some have fielded more candidates than the others. 100 red constituencies are marked by the Association for Democratic Reforms where three or more candidates with declared criminal cases will be contesting from.
