“The Anganwadi Worker says that nothing has come in my name, so I won’t get anything” answers Ambika Majhi, from Kalahandi, when asked what she gets from the Anganwadi she is registered with. Ambika is 6 months pregnant.

Out of the 10 states that provide eggs as part of its supplementary nutrition program, Odisha serves the second highest number for children between 3-6 years old. In 2017, the state also increased the number of eggs from 8 to 12, for pregnant and lactating women. Yet, not all know their numbers well.
